At Bessoni Customs, Lucas and his team take their time to give you a flawless paint finish using the best available materials through our partners at Glasurit. From small “smart repairs” to a complete custom spray; you can be assured of a stunning and long lasting finish for any of your projects.
Our Professional Process Is Like Nobody Else
We follow a rigorous multi-stage process:
- We start by completely sanding your existing paint or completely removing it down to bare metal depending on the project,
- Next we fill and repair all imperfections followed by sanding and blocking to straighten and sharpen all the panels and edges. Unlike most body shops, we try our best to use a maximum 1mm of filler when required.
- Bodywork is now ready for the first layer of anti-corrosive primer which is then sanded and blocked once again…..followed by a final primer which is once again lightly sanded.
- Panels are now “powder flocked” to bring out the high spots and then “Wetted” and sanded/blocked again. If needed, this step is repeated until all high spots are removed and the panels are smooth, sharp and even.
- Only now we can apply your chosen colour pigment followed by baking and another light sanding.
- Lastly; we apply multiple layers of clear coat, wet sanding between each layer.
- Finally your car is ready for post-paint polish to remove all fish eyes, nibs and imperfections in the paint.
